A new dance creation by the acclaimed Lyon based Greek choreographer Andonis Foniadakis entitled "Horizons" with the Cedar Lake contemporary ballet dance company, was recently previewed  for a very selected group of insiders in New York city. The official premiere at the Joyce theater in Chelsea, is scheduled for May7th to 12th, 2013 and we were more than happy to be assigned to design original costumes exclusively for this exciting project. Giving more than just a CONQUISTADOR authentic style aspect to the process, each costume became the extension for the style and personality of each dancer. The final costumes are some of our most complicated technically and visually daring yet,  while they play an interesting game of collisions between the ultimate "frenemies". It is about a new series of events hosted by OZONRAW Magazine. ‘The Room Service’ participants are designers and labels willing to present though a more creative way their collections from hotel rooms, adjusted according to their aesthetics. On Wed , March 21st, St George Lycabettus Hotel hosted ‘Room Service’ where 18 participants (designers and labels) showcased their newests collections while the guests had the opportunity to see, feel, try on and even buy their creations and later on fun time at the hotels Le Grand Balcon  lounge bar.

Tassos Sofroniou was selected to design the costumes for the upcoming new production  "GLORY" for  the legendary Grand Theater De Geneva. The mastermind behind this new dance creation is the famous Greek born, Lyon based choreographer and director Andonis Foniadakis. This is the 3rd time he is collaborating with the Grand Theater but the first were he was commissioned to do the whole evening dedicated exclusively to his work with a brand new play for the Grand Theater. Inspired by the music of the baroque composer  Georg Friedrich Händel the creation, is an homage to the decadence of a period, where people were closer to the magic of the divine, in all it s excess and full on decadence. To celebrate the first year aniversary of the very active existance of the Conquistador Menswear Label we participated in the official schedule of the only Greek international fashion week fair in Athens Greece that was the 10th Athens Xclusice Designers Week. With an overwhelming attendance of a strong crowd of 550 people most of them industry professionals and buyers and another 150 watching -unfortunately- the show from the giant monitors outside the main venue, due to the space limitations the collection "Walking On Ice" was a strong statement about urban, universal elegance with a cool, smart appeal for the contemporary man with a timeless edge. The show started with the projection of a short movie made exclusively for Conquistador by Fotis Vasilis.
